Now that the cams broke down at XCell King Plant we wil turn to another XCell Plant: Black Dog.
So far:
2/23/2008: Diane Gulbrandson reports copulation at Blackdog.
3/11/2008: Fight occurs. We don't yet know the identity of the falcons here.
4/16/2008: Pair of falcons, but no eggs yet.
4/17/2008: Fight in the nestbox. There has been a lot of fighting here this year, which may be one of the reasons why this usually successful site is so late.
4/18/2008: First egg laid.
4/22/2008: Second egg laid.
4/29/2008 fourth egg laid
6/1/2008: all 4 eggs hatch within 24 hours
Nora has nested here for years, but we aren't sure who was fighting on 3/11, and we have no idea right now who won the fight.
Nora and Millie were the resident pair here, but this is a new pair.
Year site first became active: 1993
Total young fledged: 38 (2007). There were three young too old to band in 2002.
