Rochester

I think Mariah is ready to start laying. She is almost constantly in the nestbox. Today it looked as if she was starting to lay. Early labour perhaps. As the night falls no egg yet.

Cleveland Terminal Tower

Some great pics of turning the eggs and a change. Buckeye loves breeding and it takes SW some convincing for him to leave. She's the boss however as in all peregrine families, so he leaves. He has to. Buckeye takes care of food. There ar a lot of flickers living in the area so that is the main foodsupply in this nest. When the eyases are about 10-15 days old, about 7 flickers a day are caught, killed and served to the little qute chicks. It seems cruel, but it is their way of life. Only the very strong flickers excape Buckeye. He is a very good hunter though!

Sussex Heights

Columbus Ohio

No egg yet. Orville offers prey to Scout. However eggs are due. Can't be long now. Both are very often in de nestbox, eechupping displaying head-bow-low behaviour.
Window-washers where active today, but one of the falcons sat by and waited patiently for them to get out again.

Aria and Vento take turns in breeding. Aria & Vento use a nest box, supported by TERNA, on the roof of the Economy building at the University of Rome "La Sapienza".

Nijmegen

In Nijmegen incubation goes on. The nestbox has been placed by the Werkgroep Slechtvalken Nederland ( WSN) on the chimney of the Electrabel plant in Nijmegen. Each year juveniles fledge from here.

The interaction between KathyQ and Kinney at the changing of the guard is not always very loving. Kinney seems very reluctant to give up his brooding duties when KathyQ re-enters the nest box. It often takes her some time and some very convincing vocalizations to make him move. He just seems content to cover the eggs. The male is as attached to the eggs as the female is. All males are a bit stubborn about moving. This is not unusual behavior for peregrine pairs - you'll often witness the same battle of wills at other nest sites.

One of the peregrines is standing watch on the ledge in front of the nestbox. The evening falls in Heidelberg, Germany. Topphoto shows one of the peregrines in full color. More photo's on the Heidelbergsite:

Harrisburg

These are two very noisy peregrines. And it is very enjoyable to listen to them while they chitter, ee-chup and wail to eachother. Happy sounds in the room again. Keep it up dear peregrines we all love hearing your voices again!

Eemsmond

Fortunately the weather has improved. No more snow. That makes the breeding a lot more fun

Derby

Very early this morning in the scrape. There is a great new video made by Nick Moyes available on the Derby Blog. Watch it here:

Cobb Island

These peregrines are beautiful, so close by. The male is much smaler than the female is. Right good visable here, female on top.

Bologna

The camposition has moved up already. Only a few days of rest left, and then there will be 4 chittering white balls of fluffy down.
