Alcoa Anglesea: 41 days old

Three beautiful juvies back in the nestbox!

What a great day this is: Stan is back.
10:30 in the morning: both juvies are very surprised and watched Stan appear next to the nestbox. He immediately entered the nestbox and started eating the leftover prey. He was very hungry indeed! Both his brothers had been eating a big prey and had almost exploding crops. Stan looks vibrant and healthy. After his accidental exit on Friday evening last everybody was afraid something would happen to him. But this a survivor this young tiercel. He did manage to stay save for a week, get enough food and get strong enough to be able to fly all the way up the tower to join his brothers. And believe me that is quite an effort for a fledging juvie! To fly from the ground all the way up, takes alot of energy and muscle power.
I am sure he is the eldest one. This young tiercel will make it, I'm sure.

It is wonderful to watch the 3 of them, playing. The nestbox and roof was one big playground today. Stan however did not stay the night and left before sunset. He probably has a better perchplace somewhere else. What a fantastic little peregrine falcon this is, doing what he wants, against all odds!

Alcoa Anglesea: Stan's back!!!!

10:30 : And look who's there: STAN!!! Everybody is surprised: even the 2 brothers look around the edge of the box: there's Stan.

This is extraordinary happy news!! What a fantatstic little chap this one!
