We were able to read the ring of the AEB female: DN. That means she hatched at Drogenbos/Belgium in 2001. She was evictid and driven out of the Amsterdam Hemweg nestsite by a fierce German Falcon in 2005. Since 2008 she is the resident female at this nestsite. Her mate is banded as R1. And this means he hatched in 2005 at the Hemwegnestite from the German female and her former mate! So she is no mating with the son of her former mate, or the AEB male is mating with the ex of his father. It looks just like a soapopera....
