Richmond: all set for hatching

All is ready for hatching over here. The cams moved in real close, so we won't miss anything. Great Job from VA Falcons!
Estimated hatchdate April 24-25
Both peregrines are very agitated so perhaps the eggs are singing already.
After the eyas has pipped the membrane to the aircell it will breath for the first time. And strats screaming with a soft shri-shri-shri. The parents get excited by that and keep listening with their ear on the egg. It's very special to see the reaction of these killerraptors to the arrival of their baby. Both are at the nestsite and speak with ee-chupp and ee-chip calls to eachother. Oh how I wish I could understand what they are saying.
