Oberhausen: 10th day already

It's already the 10th breeding day. How fast is goes. One third of the proces is finished. Although the embryo is very tiny, featherbuds are starting to form on this day. The legs can bend and the eggtooth starts to form. Fingers are forming at the wings, and the heart is finally resting in the chestcavity. The heart was to big in the past days to fit in.
The embryo is moving around a lot in the amnionfluid. In this stage it is impossible to make MRI images because of all the activity of the little one swimming inside the egg.
The transformation within the egg to a complete chick is one of the most amazing miracles I have ever seen! Read al about it and watch the video's on my website: http://www.falcoperegrinus.nl
How beautiful and prescious nature is on our Blue Earth......
