James River Bridge: 4 eggs!


Lizzie laid her 4th egg. And by the looks of it, there even might be a 5th one.

Wow, can a pair of peregrines feed 4-5 young?

Yes they can Karen Anne. Most peregrines produce 3-4 eggs, but there are females who prefer large clutches. Mariah of Rochester for example.
Just wait and see if Elizabeth will produce a fifth one. She looks very lethargic. But on the other hand, she has started incubating. The female starts incubating after laying the egg before the last one. So we just have to wait and see.
