What a great day this has been. Early this morning 2 of our juveniles left the roof of the tower and flew to the first ring. The eldest managed to get back up to the ledge. The other one did not.
S2 broight in a fresh pigeon in the morning and plucked it on the 4th ring, had a lot of trouble bringing it up to the nestbox and landed with the heavy prey on the first ring to feed the left behind fledeling. After that she flew up to th eroof to the 2 juvi's over there and finally brought a piece to the female in the nestbox. Who is still not out.
A second fresh pigeon was brought up at 4 and was dropped in front of the cam! And this brought a lot of entertainment. Juvi's plucking, eating, pa who plucked and fed the juvi's, it took hours before the pigeon was completely eaten.
Both for the people on teh spottersplace and for everybody at home it was a day full of enjoyment.
As the night fell, 3 juvi's are sleeping in the nestbox, the fourth is on the first ring,, I'm sure S2 is keeping an eye on him.
