Derby Peregrine Falcons by Colin Pass

This evening I received these absolutely amazing photo's of the Derby Peregrine couple made by Colin Pass today. He told me he expects the falcon will lay within the next 60 hours. He sure knows his way around Peregrine falcons, so we'd better keep a close eye on the Derby Nestbox the next couple of days! Colin thank you so very very much for these superb pics! Derby Peregrines: amazing!

Today Colin Pass took photo's of the Derby youngsters again and send them to me just a few moments ago. They are absolutely awesome!! Thank you Colin for sharing!





Look at our youngsters how beautiful they are. The flying actions of the juvies in the scenery of the beautiful age-old cathedral is majestic!





Well not all landings are by the book, and requires long and sharp talons to hold on to whatever they can grab.....





Look at him flying away with powerfull and amazing wingdisplay.

Derby youngster in the air!

Just a few moments ago I received some great photo's made and sent by Colin Pass.
Colin tells me he managed a few shots of the Derby youngster this evening at 8. The juvenile "looking strong on the wing, just lacking in agility, but practise makes perfect"!
He sure looks quite confident of himself there high in the sky, our youngster! Great shots! Thank you so much Colin!

Derby star of the day !

Yesterday I received some very astonishing photo's of the Derby peregrines from Colin Pass. I am very very honored. Thank you Colin, they are really amazing. Especially because it are pics from our star of today the male with band 004. He fledged today and flew back to the nest. And that is spectacular! Here he is with his sibling nr 003 , the other one who started out on exploration but was not as fortunate as his brother. 003 Is spending the night on the ledge below the nestbox. Won't like that at all I guess.
