This morning at 06:45 S2 laid her 4th and final egg for this season. With intervals of 57-58-57 hours she laid right on the clock! Brooding started by the book after the 3th egg, so we should expect first hatch at arounfd April 19!

De Mortel: 4th egg!

De Mortel : Third Egg!
Last night at 23:45 S2 laid her third egg about 58 hours after her second. Mating has gone on until yesterday so I do expect a fourth egg. Both peregrine falcons have started brooding from today. So first hatch around April 20-21

De Mortel: first egg
Early this sunday morning our S2 laid her first egg! Last night she came in the nestbox and staid a while, She went outside and sat on the grid until about 4 in teh morning. Then she came in and started labour. At 05:05 the egg was laid. A little later she expelled a casting, which looked just like she was in cramps for egglaying.
This morning we watched wonderful amazing bondingbehaviour when Pa mated with her on the grid. Which we never saw before.
