The little male is flying in and out. He spent the night with his sisters in the nestbox. This little chap must be quite a flyere if he manages to fly all the way up again to the nestbox. Their is a third webcam ,monitoring the roof. The female is often sitting there. We do hope we will be able to see the 3 juvi's from that cam flying and playing. When they will be all three in the air the will be getting lessons from their parents in catching prey and transferring it in midair from yje one to they other. Catching prey will be practices on eachothers tail. It is great to watch and to listen to because they are screaming all the time. It sounds like the happy laughter of playing children, and of course they are.

Is there any noticeable difference in character within the sexes at this age. When we had a male at Derby he appeared more brave/foolish. Or does it vary from bird to bird.
There is a noticable difference in character already in this age. Females are dominant even in the chick and pre-juvi stage. Females are more agressive, more assertive than males. Although each peregrine has it's own spirit and soul and psyche. Like we do.
In some netssituations where there is not much food, the female eyases will get to the food first and start a fight over it. The males step aside, hold their head aside and wait till the females are done. They will not fight, they submit. Or go beg for food at the parents.
Males do seem to be smarter, they think before they act, the female just attacks and then thinks.....;)
