Indianapolis

The interaction between KathyQ and Kinney at the changing of the guard is not always very loving. Kinney seems very reluctant to give up his brooding duties when KathyQ re-enters the nest box. It often takes her some time and some very convincing vocalizations to make him move. He just seems content to cover the eggs. The male is as attached to the eggs as the female is. All males are a bit stubborn about moving. This is not unusual behavior for peregrine pairs - you'll often witness the same battle of wills at other nest sites.
